The Clinical Comms Group – how our values shape our approach
When I first started the Clinical Comms Group, I had a lot of reasons why I wanted to pursue the venture. I always enjoy reading Entrepreneur.com’s 50 Reasons to Start a New Business, and find a lot to empathise in there!
While so many of these reasons applied to The Clinical Comms Group, our main ambition was to do things differently. We sought the freedom to bring new thinking to our work. We wanted to raise standards in how clinical education and comms are delivered.
I see the company as a family-grown business, which is why my partner Nicky, joined as a Company Director in September 2022.
As professionals, we have spent over 20 years delivering clinical education on behalf of Pharmaceutical organisations. We care deeply about the industry. It inspires us daily, and has given us great experiences.
But we believe it can be better. We believe that a focus on new thinking and value for investment can bring about better learning experiences for all. In turn, we believe this will bring about more empowered clinicians, and better patient care.
What we’re all about.
- We help clinical professionals to develop their skills and practice, by creating pioneering educational assets and experiences.
- We share their passion for personal development, and raising the standards of clinical education.
- We’re dedicated, reliable, and flexible partners.
- We combine our expertise in clinical education with our empathy for clinical professionals to deliver a great experience for everyone we work with.

About the Author – Richard Thorpe
Director and Co-founder of the Clinical Comms Group
Biography
I’m Richard Thorpe, the Co-founder of the Clinical Comms Group. It has always been a dream of mine to run my own company, and as of February 2022 that dream became a reality for me and my partner Nicky.
As a pharmacist, I have a strong passion for developing high quality education which is easily accessible to clinicians, ultimately leading to better patient outcomes.
From working closely with leading clinicians, I gain first hand insight into new treatments, current trends and trail updates to name a few. We use this knowledge to develop worldclass medical education for our clients and allied healthcare professionals.
When I’m away from the office, I enjoy nothing better than spending time with our little boy and making amazing memories together.
