Case Study – Team Building Day
The brief:
A UK Pharmaceutical company approached us with a very particular challenge: to arrange a team building event to thank their team for their hard work during the COVID-19 pandemic; but on a very limited budget…
Knowing how difficult it can be when your budget doesn’t seem, at first, to match your ambitions, we set about creating a solution that gave the team a fun and memorable day, that made them feel valued; without breaking the bank.
The solution
- Through our research and relationship, we identified a large venue, a golf club, that would be available for a low cost to host a variety of fun outdoor activities to promote team bonding and camaraderie.
- We organised an event with a range of fun interactive activities such to encourage team members to engage with each other.
- These included archery, giant inflatable beach volleyball, a giant ski slalom, and a team building exercise involving an egg!
- We set up a registration desk for a meet and greet with the team.
- We used signage and branding to enhance the overall atmosphere of the event.
- We provided branded pens and stationery to give the event a cohesive and professional feel.
- We displayed posters for each department showcasing what they had done well and what they were most proud of.
The Outcome
The company wasn’t sure how to approach the event when they first approached us, but we helped them come up with the solutions.
The event was enjoyable and memorable for the employees; and proved to be a fitting way to recognise their efforts during a challenging period.
The feedback from the employees was overwhelmingly positive, and the event helped to improve morale and team cohesion.
